First and foremost - it happens! I know it sucks, it really sucks, because every exam you need to take will mean more money our of your pocket AND study time. As if 5 hours of daily studying wasn't enough right?! Not only that but you are probably more stressed out each time you have to take the exam again because you feel the added pressure. This article isn't about "too bad so sad," I completely understand the frustration and the concern. Keep in mind that the exam is difficult, very difficult. If it wasn't, they wouldn't give you so many options to re-write it right?
I strongly believe that if someone is unsuccessful on the exam it is because they either have some form of anxiety and taking a test simply causes their mind to "blank" or/and choosing the best answer is the problem. Anxiety is no laughing matter and for a lot of students, taking an anti-anxiety pill a month before and the day of your exam will help (talk to your family doctor). You all study very hard and I find it hard to believe that anyone would take the exam and not be prepared. You need to pass the dental hygiene program (or at least up to a certain point) when taking the exam and we all know how hard that was! You are one smart cookie but the exam is not easy... This article is to stress the point that it will be ok! Please try not to get discouraged if you have failed the exam. The best you can do is pick yourself up and try again. Often tutoring is all someone needs to help them re-focus and really study well. Reading your text book and notes from school over and over will do nothing. It will be hard to focus, you will become tired, cranky and feel you aren't retaining any information. With tutoring courses - you will have an organized schedule on what to study per week, sessions with other students online and the ability to ask a tutor questions at anytime if you hit a road block. Tutoring is an investment in your education and I have NEVER heard anyone say they wish they didn't sign up for tutoring. Tutoring helps guarantee your success and will make you feel as confident as possible before taking the exam! Happy Studying!
