Switch up your Study Plan for the BEST Results

Do you ever feel like you've studied so much that your brain will explode?  This applies for classroom theory tests, exams, and the big board exam!  Often studying becomes ineffective when you're bored.  Reading your notes over, and over..and over again doesn't help.  Some people study better with reading and writing notes, some study better by reading out loud, and some people don't study at all!

Switching up your study plan prevents boredom which in turn allows the brain to work better.

1.  Switch the Material -->
Are you reading from your study notes day after day?   Switch it up!  Spend a few hours reading from your textbook, or even from another students' notes.  This switches the brain to look at something different.   You may be reading the same material but if its worded a different way, you don't get bored and feel like its something new!

2.  Switch the Location -->
Do you study in your dorm room for hours a day?  Switch it up!  Treat yourself to a coffee and cookie at a local coffee shop and study for hours there instead.  Go to a friends house and study with someone over lunch, study outside on a nice day or heck, study by the pool :).  Switching it up makes you feel like your 'relaxing' and studying at the same time.  Studying in your room is no fun or even at your desk.

3.  Switch your Attitude -->
Just do it!  Are you putting off studying?  You may need to schedule it in.  Have a detailed study plan on when to study and what to study at allotted times.  Schedule in breaks and dinner time.  You will feel more accomplished when you cross off your topics and can begin the next day with new ones.

Nobody wants to feel like they are reading the same thing over again BUT this is how material gets stuck in your head!  By reading the same material over again (but in a different way) you retain the information MUCH better.  You can see more study tips in this very short video I've put together, click here.
