*This is an original post from Officeelle.com but can work for students and women of all ages :)
As an aspiring entrepreneur and even a full-fledged entrepreneur such as myself, we all have trouble with balance sometimes. Balancing work and your personal life is a tricky and complicated thing. I have this issue all the time and I need to remind myself CONSTANTLY that I don't need to check my email every hour, book every coaching consult that comes my way, and to take time off. After all - this is why I enjoy working from home so much and making the money that I do. I enjoy it because I can take time off when I want/need to and am flexible to work any hours I wish. As an aspiring entrepreneur this may be impossible for people in the early stages of business because you want to work as much as you can, make a fabulous web site, get your products out there and make the mula! BUT finding that balance is MUCH needed.... I'm writing this post because I needed to find balance, it was hard! I'm launching my eCourse $1K Class, which is fun, fabulous and has taken me half a year to build and perfect :). I was literally working on it 7-10 hours a day with videos, audio recordings AND waking up at 5:30am to get things done. Is this balance? Nope! My poor boyfriend and new puppy have suffered and I needed to remind myself of a few simple things to keep the balance: 1. Keep and USE your agenda - this has helped me SO much. I write down everyday what I want and need to get done. Once I get things done I cross it off and DONE, thats it. Once that is done it forces me to relax and spend time with family because I feel good about accomplishing all I needed to. 2. Hire out - need help? Hire an assistant to help you get work done that you may not have time to do or don't necessarily want to do. I've worked with a client who HATED working on her web site but knew she needed to keep it clean, fresh and updated so she hired an assistant to help her with that. Can't afford to hire out? Find an intern who would be more than happy to gain some mentorship from you. 3. Learn to say no - it's ok to say no! Going to a third wedding this month? Stag and Doe? Your friend wants you to babysit her kids? Learn to say no if you simply don't have the time. Hope this helped :), now go out there and buy your agenda!
