Is teeth whitening safe for the enamel? Yes and no! Let me explain the frequency, how often I whiten my teeth and toothpastes that can help strength enamel. This is another famous question that people ask me all the time. My short answer is that YES, it is safe. I get my teeth professionally whitened at least once a year and I also use an at home system about once after two months. If I do it, I must feel confident that it's safe right? I sure do. I should add a side note - I DON'T recommend sleeping with at home teeth whitening trays in your mouth - no naps and no overnight use. Simply because you would DEFINITLY swallow too much of the product. Who wants to swallow peroxides? Nobody. Is teeth whitening legal where I live? The cost? Can I make money?.... IS IT LEGAL Teeth whitening isn't regulated but you need to be careful! Only FDA approved products can be used and if you aren't a dental professional, you can only use certain peroxides. THE COST You want to take the right teeth whitening training course, there are SO many out there! You can take days off when you want, you won't get hassled by your 'boss' for calling in sick, you don't have to get advance notice for vacation time...being a temp means you work when you want and how you want! You won't get benefits, but honestly, who cares? These days, most full time dental professionals don't get benefits anyway! The other concern is, you may feel your schedule may not be busy enough if you don't work for an office full time. Guess what? You can be busier! Offices need temps, and they appreciate you so much more!
